Green Fern Building Services were appointed to transform a tired Grade II listed property, previously divided into multiple business units, into a modern fine dining restaurant that honours its heritage while introducing a refined contemporary identity.

Central to the scheme was the handcrafted bar and counter, positioned to overlook the open kitchen, where Chef and Owner Robin Read creates his dishes. This feature became the heart of the restaurant, shaping both the spatial arrangement and the customer experience.
Working closely with Robin throughout the process, the challenge lay in striking a careful balance: retaining and enhancing the remaining historic charm while introducing bespoke joinery, modern services, and subtle detailing to elevate the environment to fine dining standards.
